In a report but IBTimes, Neil Druckmann revealed that "The Last of Us 2" will revolve on a cycle of violence and hatred. The Creative Director continued, saying that Druckmann did not feel to write a happy ending this time around for the PS4-exclusive game title.

The publication believes that game developers, Naughty Dog has a very different definition of a happy ending from the fans. For example is the ending of "The Last of Us" where Joel kills the head of Fireflies in order to save Ellie from the experiment to make a cure and save mankind.

Meanwhile, game theories for "The Last of Us 2" has been present since Naughty Dog revealed the trailer last year at the PlayStation Experience last year. The most popular game theory explains that Joel might be dead in the upcoming game title and Ellie is out for revenge for the killers.
