"Pokemon Go" has recently incorporated the Gen 2 update into its system. But, it looks like the game is missing some of its most important features. "Pokemon Go" is still missing a number of features from the game, which includes the ability to trade Pokemon between players.

Months ago, dataminers had discovered that the programming code related to trading in "Pokemon Go" game master file, indicating that trading was still a planned feature for the game. And though the trading system is not yet fully implemented the game, it still is a major drawback to know that it is not anymore there.

According to the Express, Niantic Labs has confirmed that they are still trying their best to solve the many bugs in the game. This might be one of the reasons for why the trading feature is currently non-existent in the updated game. The "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 update had recently introduced and this ushered in the revival of the game's popularity. With it, 80 new Pokemon were also been added to the game.

Looking at the bright side of the "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 update, whether the code is there or not, it still has no effect on the game's gameplay. According to WWG, one of the theories regarding the removal of the code is that Niantic must be getting ready for a better trading feature that is more advanced.

Players can also take into account the promise of Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke that the trading will arrive in the "Pokemon Go". Hanke had told Waypoint that the Niantic team took fan hype into consideration when releasing new features and they yet have a desire to make players happy.

Another one of the theories is that Niantic might have decided to fully remove the code, as it was an unnecessary feature in the game. Whichever the case is, it would be safe to presume that all of these surprising changes in the "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 update are done by Niantic for the betterment of the game.
