Season 2 of Once Upon A Time ended with the Jolly Roger headed out towards Neverland, carrying Emma and Regina, Prince Charming, Snow White, Rumpelstiltskin and Hook.

In Season 3, it looks like the traveling companions might be staying awhile.

Jennifer Morrison (Emma) suggested to E! Online in April, even before the finale aired, that a lengthy visit to Neverland may be in order.

"I will be interested to see how we are all impacted by that new land," the actress said. "I think whenever we're in a place where everyone's relationships are impacted by their environment and it heightens the stakes for everyone, it becomes very interesting drama.

This voyage could bring in some new characters, but most importantly, it would introduce viewers to Peter Pan. Show runners Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz told fans that the character will be a brand new male addition to the cast with a bit of a past with Rumpelstiltskin, and he's someone they've wanted in the picture all along.

"In true Mr. Gold/Rumple style, he knows more than Greg and Tamara," they told Entertainment Weekly in May, "and there's certainly the implication that there's a history there, one we're eager to unfold."

"Our approach to Peter Pan is one we're super-excited about," Horowitz told TVLine.com, noting that efforts to incorporate the character were harmed by rights issues for the character.

"Once they were dealt with, we were able to finally go to town and open that world up. We started with Captain Hook, and we knew we wanted to build to what we're about to do in Season 3."

However, the show is not expected to completely abandon Storybrooke. "In fact, Emilie de Ravin, whose Belle has been left in charge of the town, confirms that she'll continue to be a series regular in Season 3," said TV Guide Staff Editor Natalie Abrams.

The character will also have an opportunity to really show her strength.

"She'll gain her strength back and she'll have to if she's going to protect an entire town," De Ravin told TV Guide.

Lana Parrilla, who stars as Regina, was also asked to talk the new season at the Gracie Awards red carpet. Although Horowitz confirmed that Regina will be a major player next season, even Parrilla said she's still learning her character's fate.

"I have no idea. I really don't," the actress told MaximoTV.com, about the new voyage. "We're off to Neverland, so...we'll see what Neverland has in store for us."

Once Upon A Time returns to television in Fall 2013.
