Kate Middleton and Prince William are rarely seen holding hands in public. This seeming lack of affection from the royal couple has fuelled another divorce rumors. However, body language expert reveals why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge do not show their display their affection.

Kate Middleton and Prince William first met in Sept 2001 while studying at St Andrews University according to OK! They officially became engaged on October 2010 and tied the knot on April 2011.

Now, six years later, rumors are rife that Prince William refuses to show affection to wife, Kate Middleton. The royal couple is allegedly keeping their distance from each other even when they appear together in public.

The rumors go on to say that Prince William is going to great lengths just so that people will not guess that there is something wrong with his marriage to Kate Middleton. The prince does not want to bring any form of scandal to the Palace and hurt the Queen.

Meanwhile, some rumors also suggest that it is Kate Middleton who is hiding her true feelings towards Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge allegedly felt trapped with her royal duties.

In a report by Daily Mail, Kate Middleton and Prince William's lack of affection is explained by a body language expert. According to Robin Kermode, founder of communications coaching company Zone2, the royal couple is taking cues from the Queen.

"The Queen rarely holds hands with her husband in public and this seems to have set an unwritten precedent for the other royals," Kermode said. The body language expert said that it is clear that Kate Middleton and Prince William are emotionally bonded. They do not need to prove their love and affection to the public.

On official state business, Kate Middleton and Prince William are expected to act professionally. The Duchess of Cambridge is also becoming more confident in the royal stage; thus, needing less handholding from the Duke.
