"Chroma Squad," the "Power Rangers"-inspired strategy role-playing game (RPG) from Brazilian game developer Behold Studios, is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles soon. The PlayStation Vita release, on the other hand, has been cancelled due to unspecified reasons.

Game publisher Bandai Namco officially confirms that the "Power Rangers"-inspired "Chroma Squad" is now set for release in May 2017, according to Crunchy Roll. Players can purchase the game for $15 but its international pricing has yet to be revealed.

"Chroma Squad" was first released on the Windows PC platform in April 2015, Destructoid reported. Aside from the consoles, Bandai Namco made the announcement last year that the "Power Rangers"-inspired RPG will also come out to different mediums, specifically on Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems.

Unfortunately, no other reports have been added regarding the mobile version of "Chroma Squad." It is unclear on whether or not this version has suffered the same fate as the now cancelled PS Vita port.

In terms of how the story goes, "Chroma Squad" will revolve around the lives of five stunt actors who left their day job to create a "Power Ranger"-like television series, GameSpot reported. It is now up to the player to take control of the lives of these characters by managing them and help them achieve their goals.

The player must purchase weapons that these actors will use on their TV set and build giant robots. They also have to upgrade their equipment and battle the mechs they've created to help boost their TV show's viewer ratings. Meanwhile, Bandai Namco has yet to make any announcement regarding the specific release date for "Chroma Squad." More news about the matter should emerge in the coming weeks.
