Wedding bells might be coming sooner than expected for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Following her double mastectomy, Pitt no longer wants to wait for marriage, according to Ok! magazine.

A source reportedly told the publication in May, "Now, what they faced and went through together with Angie's health scare made Brad realize there's only so long you have on this planet. It's brought them closer than ever before and he wants to make her his wife now."

The actors, who got engaged in 2011 after starring together in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, have yet to confirm when they are planning to tie the knot. Both stars have also been previously married. Pitt did admit, however, in November of 2012 that he feels pressure from his children to walk down the aisle.

"I'm getting more pressure from my kids, and it's something I want to do within their lifetime," Pitt said at the School of the Visual Arts Theater in Chelsea during a viewing of Killing Them Softly. "And I'll tell you what, since we've been engaged, I'm surprised how much it meant to me and everyone should have that."

Following the announcement of her surgery, Jolie said her double mastectomy brought her and Pitt closer. She said he was by her side throughout the entire process.

"I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive," she wrote in her New York Times op-ed. "Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has."

Pitt's mother returned the praise to Jolie.

"We're so very proud of Angie," she said in a statement. "[T]his means so much to our family especially our grandchildren. We love her dearly."
