"Fifty Shades Darker" has been highly criticized, but Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan couldn't care less. The movie is doing good particularly overseas, compared to the initial expectations.

Johnson and Dornan have shown great chemisty since the filming of the first movie "Fifty Shades of Grey". There are rumors that they also have undeniable chemistry in real life and this has placed Dornan's marriage on the rocks.

Some sectors are pointing to the brewing romance between Johnson and Dornan as the reason for the split-up of Johnson and Matthew Hitt, according to Independent. But is it also the reason behind the shaky marital relations between Dornan and Amelia Warner?

The "Fifty Shades Darker" stars have denied the rumors, but they could not escape each other yet considering the reported $277 million ticket sales of the movie worldwide. With the movie taking on the US box office top spot this February, and still dominating the box office elsewhere, fans can expect more of the series, and of Johnson and Dornan.

"Fifty Shades Darker" will be followed by the third movie "Fifty Shades Freed". The next installment is expected to do better than the first two movies when it is shown in 2018.

Dornan, who plays the rich but sexually quirky Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades Darker, has been fending off separation rumors with his wife, according to Morning News USA. Fans could not, however, separate real from reel because of the raunchy scenes between Dornan and Johnson, who plays the innocent young woman Anastasia Steele.

"They say horrific things about your loved ones, and so it opens up fast," he said, "but yes, the idea of being single makes me instantly sweat."

Fame and fortune have definitely caught up with Dornan, who lamented the effects of the popularity of "Fifty Shades Darker on his family. Dornan has shied away from the social media to avoid further invasion of his privacy.
