Amanda Bynes' increasingly erratic behavior has received a lot of celebrity attention over the past few months and now Lance Bass, a good friend of hers, has spoken about how he worries for the fomer child star.

Bass called into the Las Vegas Mark & Mercedes radio show on Wednesday to discuss the troubles of Bynes. He told the radio station that the unraveling of Bynes has been "sad to watch.  Amanda was a great friend of mine."

"It's one of those situations where obviously there's some mental problems there and she's not able to see that. We all are [able to see it]," he added.

Bass produced the 2005 romantic comedy Love Wrecked, which Bynes starred in. The pair immediately struck up a friendship, though Bass did not indicate on the radio show how long it has been since he talked to her last.

However, the former *NSYNC singer did say, "No one is able to get to her.  I'm actually really scared for her, and I hope someone is able to get to her to give her the help she needs."

Not everyone is so concerned about the former actress.

"I think Amanda's fine," said her attorney, "I have no problems with her whatsoever. She's a fine client."

Several celebrities have expressed their concern for Bynes, though the troubled star has lashed out at many of them.  After Bynes railed against Rihanna for no apparent reason on Twitter, Rihanna quickly replied back "Ya see what happens when they cancel Intervention?"

Bynes then responded with "unlike ur fugly faced self I don't do drugs! U need the intervention dog! I met ur ugly face in person! U aren't pretty u know it!"

She has also lashed out against celebrities like Jenny McCarthy and Courtney Love, usually by calling them ugly.

The former actress has not commented on what Bass has said.
