President Donald Trump probably won't be watching the Oscars Sunday night, despite his fixation on how he is portrayed in the media.

The Oscars will likely feature multiple jabs at President Trump, if the award show trend continues. However, the president likely won't be watching the biggest movie celebration of the year because he has to fulfill his duties at the White House.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are hosting the Governors' Ball Sunday night, which directly conflicts with Oscar night.

"I think Hollywood is known for being rather far to the left in its opinions, and I've got to be honest with you, I think the president will be hosting the Governors' Ball that night," Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters Wednesday. "Mrs. Trump looks forward to putting on a phenomenal event. And the first lady's put a lot of time into this event, in welcoming our nation's governors to the capital, and I have a feeling that's where the president and first lady are going to be focused on Sunday night."

Of course, the president will likely be attuned to any major statements that are made at the Oscars, assuming they get a lot of media coverage. After Meryl Streep called him out in her Golden Globes acceptance speech, he took to Twitter to say that the award-winning actress was "overrated."

Even if there aren't any statements from winners, though, host Jimmy Kimmel is expected to make a few jokes about President Trump.

"I haven't decided exactly how much I will dwell on that. A lot of it depends on what happens that week [before the show]," he told People, of Trump jokes. "There are one, sometimes three, new interesting stories coming out of the White House every day it seems - so who knows what will be happening? I just hope whatever is happening is light."

The Oscars will air live from coast to coast Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT on ABC.
