Last summer director Robert Rodriguez announced that music superstar Lady Gaga would be making her big-screen acting debut in his Machete Kills as a character named Lady Chameleon and now there is a trailer showing a sneak peak of Gaga's film debut.

The film is a spin-off sequel to Rodriguez' Grindhouse, two full length feature horror movies written by Quentin Tarantino and released in 2007. Rodriguez and Tarantino put the project together as a two film feature, Planet Terror and Death Proof.

Providing just a few short glimpses of Lady Gaga, the first preview for Machete Kills debuted Wednesay on Yahoo! OMG! En Español.

Trejo is back in the title role, leading a star-studded cast.

In addition to Lady Gaga, Machete Kills also stars Mel Gibson in a rare appearance as a maniacal arms dealer, and Charlie Sheen, playing the president of the United States and credited for the first time as Carlos Estévez, his birth name.

In the film, the U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.

The trailer focuses primarily on the large cast, which also includes Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Machete Kills is the first of two sequels that Rodriguez is producing this year. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the follow-up to his 2005 adaptation of the Frank Miller comic books, is currently in post-production, according to the Internet Movie Database. That movie also has a killer ensemble cast that includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Josh Brolin. Sin City is scheduled for release in October.

Machete Kills opens in theaters on September 13.
