Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer in 'The Lone Ranger': First Look (PHOTO)

The first photo from Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer's remake of The Lone Ranger has been released.

Film producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted the image of Depp and Hammer in full costume today with the message "Tonto and The Lone Ranger Ride Again!"

Hammer is shown wearing the traditional lone ranger mask, but Depp's Tonto is much darker than the original character. Depp is decked out in face paint, feathers, and possibly has a dead bird on his head. Last year, the Pirates actor told EW he wanted to give the famous sidekick substance and a deeper friendship with his crime-fighting friend.

Depp and Hammer are currently shooting The Lone Ranger, which is directed by Depp's friend Gore Verbinski.
