Justin Timberlake performed his no. 1 song "Can't Stop the Feeling!" at the Oscars Sunday night.

Timberlake took the Oscar stage Sunday for a performance of his latest single, "Can't Stop the Feeling!" from Trolls. The single was nominated for Best Original Song this year, with Timberlake receiving his first Oscar nomination for co-writing the song alongside Max Martin and Karl Johan Schuster, a.k.a. Shellback.

Other nominees in the Best Original Song category include "How Far I'll Go" from Moana, "The Empty Chair" from Jim: The James Foley Story and "Audition (The Fools Who Dream)" and "City of Stars" from La La Land.

"Can't Stop the Feeling!" is the rare modern Original Song nominee to find major, chart-topping success. The song became Timberlake's fifth no. 1 single when it was released in the first week of May and would ultimately come the best-selling song of 2016. The single sold 2.49 million copies, and was the second most downloaded and streamed song on Apple Music.

The song has already won the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media and the People's Choice Award for Favorite Song, and has been nominated at the Golden Globes, the Critics' Choice Awards and the Satellite Awards.

Timberlake was honored and humbled to be nominated at the Oscars, telling Deadline, "I'm really humbled by the whole thing. I think most of all, I was excited the whole year that people responded to the song. Now more than ever we need something that puts a kick in someone's step and unites us through a good feeling. I think that is what I was always most happy about that it gives people a good feeling. For the Academy to recognize this song? Wow. Yeah, I'm pinching myself."
