Kate Middleton is reportedly set to start a new tradition by becoming the first royal mother to have a baby shower for her baby bump.

According to a report, the 31-year-old won't be actually throwing her own shower, as her sister Pippa will plan the lavish celebration.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is reported to be in her third trimester of her pregnancy has reportedly decided to go on with the American style party, which is something the royals go against.

"It isn't royal tradition, but Kate isn't a traditional royal. She is modern and wants a normal life," a source told The Sun.

"It will be a great day for everyone and Kate is doing this with the blessing of the Queen."

The report indicated that the plans are already set for the day, and there will be goodies for guests to take home.

Kate only has a few weeks left in her pregnancy and is taking her baby bump very serious. Enstars reported earlier that she opted out of accompanying her husband Prince William to the annual Audi Charity Polo Challenge in Chester. The first-mother-to-be was reportedly relaxing at home.

Over 300 guests watched Prince William on Wednesday as he rode on the his horse on the racetrack and was almost thrown off. VIP's included Douglas Booth, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Darcey Bussell, Colin Salmon, Jeremy Irvine and Naomie Harris.

Kate and Prince William will soon get to see their little one, as reports indicated that the baby will arrive between July and August. Recently, Carole Middleton, Kate's mother said that her grandchild will be a Leo, which means the due date could range anywhere between July 24 and Aug 23.

Carole's comments conflict with a recent report that indicated the baby will be born on July 13.

"They were all discussing the fact that Kate's baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone was very excited," a source close to the couple said.
