"Rick and Morty" Season 3 is not yet around and fans feel that they have been waiting too long for it to arrive. Adult Swim Australia recently released a video teaser which made fans go haywire but it appeared that it was just a joke so there are people who got mad over it.
Likewise, season 2 ended in October 2015 so "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is really long overdue and the waiting frustrates the fans. Since this is the case, it is quite understandable why the viewers reacted negatively to the supposed new teaser.
Furthermore, the show's executive producer and co-creator Justin Roiland added fuel to the fire when he responded to popular YouTuber Freddie Wong's tweet that asked him if his entire timeline is just full of people's begging for season 3.
To this, Roiland tweeted "Pretty much. When they find out it's never coming... yeesh. It's gonna get gnarly." This reply hurt the fans even more because it seem that they have been waiting for nothing all along. But later, it was reported that Roiland only said this in a jest. Now, this was strike two and it quickly earned the ire of individuals who were patiently waiting for "Rick and Morty" Season 3.
It became clear that the clip that was supposed to be a teaser for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 was only a compilation of previous episodes. On the other hand, Roiland's tweets are confusing fans because one time he said, that the series is in the works, then his latest tweet suggests it is not happening anymore.
Fans reacted by expressing their frustration about the whole thing. They also posted angry memes because they are being played at. Then again, despite the jokes, co-creator Dan Harmon already confirmed that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is returning with 14 episodes.
Finally, Metro UK also reported that writer Mike McMahan revealed that the show's production is almost complete via a tweet that says "And that's a wrap for me on Rick and Morty season 3! You guys are going to love it." More updates are expected to arrive in the coming days as the sci-fi animated series.
