Glee is saying goodbye to Whitney Houston with a labor of love -- a tribute episode featuring eight of the late pop icon's songs. 

The hit show already honored Houston last month with a performance of her signature song,"I Will Always Love You," but the upcoming episode will be a full-blown tribute, according to E! News. 

Unlike tribute episodes for Michael Jackson, Madonna and Lady Gaga, "the Whitney tribute is more of a 'character piece' that focuses on Glee's graduating seniors having a real hard time letting go," E! reports.

Glee star Lea Michele tweeted about the episode yesterday, writing: "Starting a new episode today. A very special tribute to one of the worlds most amazing singers. Very excited about this one."

No air date has been set for the tribute.
