HBO's Game of Thrones will feature some satisfying character interactions in season 7, according to star Kit Harington.

Harington, who plays Jon Snow on the series, recently suggested that the upcoming seventh season will be a big one on many levels. The actor spoke with The Huffington Post about season 7 and while he didn't offer too many specifics, he did note that the season will be worth it for fans.

"Yes, I'm gonna say, 'Yes.' I mean I hope it is. I certainly did more this season than I've ever done," he said. I think every actor on it did more action, had more action, had more scenes. They really focused it because less characters are coming in, and they're focusing in on the existing ones, and there are lots of people who cross paths, and that's something that I think the audience has been waiting for for a long time."

Many casual Game of Thrones fans have lamented the rapidly growing cast of characters to the point that it's difficult to keep up with, so hearing that the series will focus on the core characters while also showing new paths crossing between these characters should be a good sign. Season 6 ended with Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) finally acquiring her full army and traveling to Westeros, so fans can only imagine what's to come.

Season 7 will only feature seven episodes as opposed to the usual 10, but don't expect a downgrade in budget or scale.

"They spent an increasing amount of money on less episodes, so it's gonna be much bigger in scale, the CGI ... we're trying new things, experimenting with new camera techniques," Harington said. "I think we're trying to break boundaries and push past boundaries in these final two seasons."

Harington also implied that the show will be reaching new heights as the end approaches.

"You have to live up to the hype that's surrounded the show and the worst thing would be to end without really pushing and trying new things. Even if it's a failure, at least trying to go out with a bang," Harington said.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO.
