"Thor: Ragnarok" has got Cate Blanchett playing the villainess Hela and the actress has revealed a very interesting detail about her character. She has said that Hela can manifest weapons from different parts of her body.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is all set to release this year and now Cate Blanchett, who plays Hela in the movie, has revealed a special ability of her character, Screen Rant reported. The actress has said that Hela is able to manifest weapons. Her headdress can be weapons and she can manifest weapons out of different parts of her body. However, she refused to reveal the parts, saying that she will leave that hanging.

Notably, Hela's look in "Thor: Ragnarok" had raised curiosity among fans. The concept art for the movie showed Cate Blanchett in an ornate headdress and going by the looks, it can be safely said that it would have weapon-generating ability. "Thor: Ragnarok" will see Hela as the Asgardian goddess of death as she was in the MCU.

When "Thor: Ragnarok" begins, Hela is trapped in a prison but gets freed accidentally and takes Asgard from the God of Mischief, Cinema Blend claimed. Cate Blanchett also revealed this tidbit as she said that Hela has been locked away for millennia, thereby, getting more and more cross. However, she gets unleashed by mistake and then she is not getting back in that box.

Blanchett also said that she is well-versed in the backstory of her comic book character. In fact, she also shared her take on female villains and Hela being the first female villain in the film territory of MCU. She wondered why they were having a conversation like this in 2017 and said that there is much potential villainy in women. She was excited that viewers finally want to see a diverse army of characters.

It is worth mentioning here that the first movie "Thor" was a success but the sequel "Thor: The Dark World" was not impressive. "Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to release on Nov. 3, 2017.
