'Young and The Restless' Spoilers: Jack is Summer’s Father as Nick and Sharon Reunite? Joshua Morrow Comments [VIDEO]
Jack Abbott will soon be revealed as the father of Summer Newman according to spoilers.
The Young and the Restless is going to expose that Jack Abbott is the biological father of Summer Newman in the next few weeks, The Examiner reported Monday.
The website cited a source who said that Nick Newman's actions to claim a child that wasn't his would shake up Genoa City. Nick and ex-wife Phyllis face over his betrayal while the fallout also has an impact on Summer, Jack, Sharon and Noah. Phyllis will also receive another revelation that will change her life.
It is not yet certain if Michelle Stafford will play the scenes of her character, who finds out that her former husband lied to her about the paternity of her daughter. Stafford announced her exit from Y&R in May and will last be seen on the soap opera in June as Phyllis. Co-star Joshua Morrow, who has been Stafford's leading man for many years, told MSN Entertainment in late May that he was hurt by her decision to leave the show.
"Selfishly, I'm very bothered. I'm holding out hope that she comes back so Nick and Phyllis can continue their fiery, difficult love story, but she doesn't see that happening," he said. "She badly wants to leave, so I would be doing our friendship a disservice to not wish her luck."
Morrow said that Emmy award-winning Stafford was a top three talent in any medium. He added that her exit from the show was a "crucial loss". Given the recent death of Jeanne Cooper who played Katherine Chancellor, Morrow said that Stafford's exit compounded the feeling of loss for Y&R.
"There's a handful of people on the show where you think, 'How could our show not have this person?' We lost one of them due to her time on this earth, and now we're losing another because she wants to do other stuff. It's a difficult transition," he said.
Morrow also seemed to imply that Stafford's exit would probably mean that Nick and Sharon would be reuniting onscreen. He compared the characters to an "old, comfortable sweatshirt/" He stressed that the decision was not about what he wanted.
"It's not about what Joshua Morrow wants: These two characters have this beautiful love story and it deserves an ending. At the end of the day, they probably will find their way back together," he said.
