Just recently, Netflix and Marvel Comics received a disappointing news that their newest addition to the series of Marvel Cinematic Universe television shows, "Iron Fist" was not critically acclaimed by the critics. The show, so far, received poor reviews and reportedly, many factors have affected it.

"Iron Fist" is Netflix's fourth Marvel Comics character web television series adaptation, the first three to be "Daredevil", "Jessica Jones" and the recently started, "Luke Cage." However, the fourth web series did not receive the same appreciation from the critics compared to the three previous series. Different media outlets have expressed their disappointment on the show's apparent lack of originality and purpose.

According to The Washington Post, the first six episodes of "Iron Fist", which were the basis of the poor reviews, lack the martial arts action that fans have been wanting to see from the character. It was speculated that critics would have liked it a little bit if the main character would be portraying his role as he was on the Marvel Comics.

Instead, the first six episodes of "Iron Fist" reportedly have spent an unnecessary time for the other identity, Danny Rand to be in the scene of the family company, which isn't exactly what the show is supposed to be about. As per the source, critics felt like the series is more on drama rather than on a usual superhero action series.

According to Radio Times, "Iron Fist" lead actor, Finn Jones, expressed his opinion about the critics' thoughts on the first six episodes. Jones reportedly said that his character was unliked because of his deep similarities with the newly-elected US president, Donald Trump.

The actors said that he understood why it was hard for some critics to welcome the new character from the Marvel and Netflix series, "Iron Fist." Aside from being a superhero, Danny Rand is a white American billionaire, which is something that can apparently be associated with Trump, and the hate the people have for him reportedly may have something to do with why Danny Rand is not welcomed for now.

However, the actor cleared that they have finished shooting for the episodes of "Iron Fist" way before Donald Trump got elected. Jones added that the show is really for the fans to enjoy and they are the priority. The upcoming remaining episodes will reportedly showcase more about Danny and mentioned that fans will undoubtedly understand the character by then.

The second part of "Iron Fist" is scheduled to air on March 17, 2017, on Netflix.
