Sweetwater, which premiered in the U.S. at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 23 and is set to be featured in the U.K. on June 3, takes place in the 1800's in the western U.S. town of Sweetwater. It features Jones playing red-headed Sarah, who goes on a mission to seek revenge after her husband is killed.

The film features guns, blood, nudity. In one scene Sarah points a gun at someone while topless when she is seen washing herself in a waterhole. Also starring are Jason Issacs, who plays the religious leader Prophet Josiah, and Ed Harris, who plays the renegade Sheriff Jackson.

The actress recently said that she wants to keep the father of her son Xander private.

"It's just not something the public needs to know," she told Net-A-Porter's The Edit, according to the Daily Mail. "I don't divulge my sexual preferences. There are parts of your life - no matter what your job - that should remain private."

When she began her career as an actress, Jones said fellow actors suggested she remain wary about what information to disclose to the public.

"When I was starting out, other actors advised me to keep certain things close to the vest. When you become a public figure people want to know everything about you, and then [they] pick it apart - it becomes negative," she said, based on the report.
