"The Big Bang Theory" spin-off already has a star to cast the young Sheldon Cooper. CBS recently announced that Iain Armitage is to cast in the series.

According to The New York Times, HBO's "Big Little Lies" star Iain Armitage will portray the young Sheldon in "The Big Bang Theory" spin-off series. The spin-off will explore on Sheldon Cooper's life as a child growing up in East Texas.

The life explored for Sheldon as a child will be up to his high school days in the spin-off for "The Big Bang Theory." Young Sheldon is the title for the upcoming spin-off series. Jim Parsons who is currently portraying the role as an adult Sheldon will be the narrator for the show.

 CNN Entertainment reported that the spin-off series for "The Big Bang Theory" is created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro is the executive producer. It is also indicated that Jon Favreau is scheduled to direct the first episode of "Young Sheldon."

"The Big Bang Theory's" spin-off series will also cast Zoe Perry and Lance Barber. Additional casts are Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan. There is no word as of yet from CBS on where the spin-off series will be placed. However, the network will unveil their shows for fall in May.

Meanwhile, The Guardian reported that "The Big Bang Theory" already has 225 episodes. It is also indicated that the series may be near to its end. There are still fans reported to watch the series and it has become the second biggest show in America.

However, it has been a while since "The Big Bang Theory" has been running so is the reason why a spin-off is coming. This is to give fans a different look at a certain angle taken from the story. Sheldon Cooper has been the most popular character in the series and is the reason why a Young Sheldon is to be introduced.
