Since its release, "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" has peaked the interest of thousands of people worldwide, who wanted a proper culinary based manga to read. Ever since the manga has been turned into an anime, people are hooking onto it. The anime has high ratings on MyAnimeList and has been renewed for a third season. 

At the end of  "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" season 2, Yukihira Souma, the protagonist of the show, came back from his Stagiaire and openly challenged anyone who wanted a shokugeki with him. It seems that  "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" season 3 would be airing on this note. The anime would have two new arcs after the Autumn Election arc.

Ever since Erina's grandfather pledged to Souma to keep Erina sheltered from the clutches of her father, Erina has moved to the Polar Star dormitory. This has led fans to speculate that Erina's behavior towards Souma and his dorm mates would change and a romance may be sparked between Erina and Souma.

"Food Wars!" season 3 would involve new dynamics between Erina and her father, and rumors are rife that her father would replace her grandfather as the headmaster and would impose new laws that might direct how future chefs cook in the academy. However, rest assured, Soma Yukihira and his friends would be there to help Erina.
