In September 2015, Apple unveiled iPad Mini 4. It was dubbed as one of the best 8-inch tablets in the world. Since then, fans have been waiting for the release of iPad Mini 5 or any update for the smart device.

Experts think that the iPad family will get a refreshing update at Apple's March 2017 event. Rumors had it that the iPad Mini will also get its fair share of an overhaul. Some said that instead of calling it iPad Mini 5, it might just be called iPad Pro Mini.

The new iPad Mini 5 will have a Smart Connector and a True Tone display according to a Japanese website Mac Otakara. It also details that the new member of the Apple family might have four speakers and a 12-megapixel rear-facing iSight camera.

A year after the launch of iPad Mini 4, many expected that an iPad Mini 5 will be announced by Apple. However, there were no sign that the company is ready to launch a 7.9-inch tablet.

On the other hand, some analysts believed that Apply may no longer launch iPad Mini 5 according to a report by 9To5 Mac. Instead, it will be phased out from the lineup. Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that the giant company might release three new iPads in the spring event.

Kuo added that the decreased exposure of iPad mini might give way to the announcement of a 12.9-inch successor of the iPad Pro, a new 10.5-inch high-end device, and 9.7-inch low priced device. The prediction suggests that there will be no more launching of iPad Mini 5 in the future.
