Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found dead of an apparent suicide in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on Monday it was reported by Times of India.

The 25-year-old hanged herself at her Juhu residence between 11 PM and 11.30 p.m. Police on Tuesday questioned Suraj Pancholi, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, to whom actress Jiah Khan had made her last phone call before ending her life. Jiah, according to police, last spoke to Suraj around 10:40 p.m.

No suicide note was reported to have been found at Jiah's home.

Jiah's mother Razia Khan said the late actress was unhappy about her acting career. She last appeared in a supporting role in Sajid Khan's multi-starrer comedy Housefull in 2010. Jiah was exploring a career in interior designing besides acting in films, according to her mother.

Jiah stopped tweeting on April 20 and returned to the site less than a month later.

"So sorry I have been off twitter! Took a bit of a break from twitter verse.. sometimes u need a sabbatical to recollect ur thoughts," she wrote on May 24.

In her very last tweet, Khan referenced astrology.

"#Pisces born on February 19 are eager to learn," she retweeted.

Her official Facebook fan page has been flooded with condolences and heartfelt messages. One user wrote, "Your smile will be missed forever," while another posted, "so sad you were a beautiful young girl rest in peace."
