Miley Cyrus premiered her newest single We Can't Stop on Monday, and her fans aren't the only ones excited.

Singer and X Factor judge Demi Lovato showed support for Cyrus' new track on Twitter.

"#wecan'tstop I wanna hear it now," she wrote on June 3, the same day the song was to premiere on On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

Later in the day, Lovato also retweeted a post that shows the relationship the two have.

During a Twitter Q&A on the same day of the song release, a fan asked Cyrus whether or not she misses Lovato and if the stars keep in touch.

To that, Cyrus replied, "Don't gotta miss her. She is one of the most supportive people in my life. She was my first call this morning b4 #wecantstop."

The two former Disney stars have been friends since before their careers took off. In an interview with Seventeen in January 2012, Lovato also spoke about their long-lasting friendship.

"There are two people that no matter how many times we fight we will always be in each other's lives," she told the magazine. "Selena [Gomez] and I, we never fight. She's not a confrontational person at all, but Miley Cyrus and I are strong headed. When we fight it's brutal and we're like, 'We're never going to be friends again. Then two days later, were like, 'I love you and I miss you.' "

Perhaps Lovato's support was one of the reasons Cyrus' new song quickly shot to No. 1 on the music charts.

"#wecantstop is #1 on iTunes. Thank you sooooo much Smilers. I am so happppppy," she wrote on Twitter on June 3.

She later tweeted, "#1 in 15 countries #wecantstop" and then corrected herself, "oops 18 countries."

The song already has over a million YouTube views.
