Even if Nick Viall didn't receive the best scores on Dancing With the Stars premiere night, his fiancée Vanessa Grimaldi is supporting him.

Viall performed his first dance on Dancing With the Stars Monday night, just a week after the season finale of The Bachelor, where he and Grimaldi met and fell in love. Despite this hectic schedule, Viall suggested after the premiere that she will continue to be behind him every step of the way.

"She just said, 'Good job.' I haven't really gotten a chance to talk to her, but she's going to be very supportive," Viall told Us Weekly after the DWTS premiere.

Viall performed a cha-cha-cha with pro dancing partner Peta Murgatroyd to the song "Let Me Love You" by DJ Snake feat. Justin Bieber, receiving a "6" from each of the four judges. With a score of 24 out of 40, This put the couple in a tie for seventh place on the leaderboard out of the 12 celebs competing.

"I was just trying to have fun, and it was very surreal. I kind of feel like I blacked out, maybe, I don't know," he admitted, of his first dance.

Viall seemed appreciative of the judges' feedback even if he doesn't exactly remember what they said.

"I'm sure I made mistakes, and I'm sure I'll go back and look, and I'm sure the judges had some good feedback, but I was very happy with the score, and I was thrilled with all sixes," he admitted. "I don't know if that's good, but I was thrilled. I was totally fine with it."

Next Monday is the first elimination of the season, and while Viall and Murgatroyd are on the lower end of the leaderboard and could be in danger, there should be enough of a buffer to at least get him through Week 2. Celebs that scored lower than Viall included Bonner Bolton (22 out of 40), Charo (21 out of 40), Mr. T (20 out of 40) and Chris Kattan (17 out of 40).

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
