Carrie Underwood will continue her support of Oklahoma tornado relief in her appearance on Wednesday's CMT Music Awards.

Underwood will be performing her latest single See You Again, using the song's inspiring chorus to provide hope for friends of family of the tornadoes' victims. She will perform the song with two dozen choir members from the Nashville Christ Church.

"The choir," Underwood said on Monday, "I've never done that before and they just kind of take it to a whole ethereal place."

Viewers will be instructed on how to donate to the Red Cross relief fund during the performance.

The 2013 CMT Music Awards ceremony is set to air on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on CMT.

Those in Oklahoma and Missouri who were affected by the succession of tornadoes in late May are still recovering from the massive damage. By Monday the death toll reached 18 from the tornadoes on May 31 alone. Underwood, who grew up in the small town of Checotah, Okla., feels hopeful residents in the area will get back on their feet.

"The people in Oklahoma are really great," she said, "Tornado season is something that we're all used to but you can never fully prepare for it. It takes what it wants and it knocks down what it wants and there's nothing you can do about it except just try to be prepared. They're just wonderful people and they're going to rebuild and they're going to bounce back stronger than ever."

Underwood performed with The Rolling Stones on May 25 at their concert in Toronto, Canada. She sang It's Only Rock 'n Roll with lead singer Mick Jagger, which she tweeted was one of the greatest moments of her life.

"I just sang with the @RollingStones! Holy cow! I walked off stage and said, "What just happened?!" Still can't believe it!'

The night also marked the eighth anniversary of her winning American Idol.
