Ever since the "Deadpool" movie's appearance on the big screen in 2016, fans are craving for more. Fortunately, "Deadpool 2" will be released in 2018 and although it will take months to wait first, at least it's good to know that it has been confirmed. Apart from the good news, another speculation kept fans excited about its new cast.

Apparently, Brad Pitt is rumored to play a role in "Deadpool 2." According to a source, things started when Jeff Sneider, the editor-in-chief of Tracking Board, shared something on his social media. "Will be interesting to see if Brad Pitt plays Cable," Sneider tweeted along with an article.

For the benefit of the doubt, Cable is the oldest son of Cyclops or commonly known as Scott Summers and Jean Grey's clone, Madelyne Pryor. He is a monstrous human with superhuman human powers and he was sent into the future for his own safety. Although he looked like another villain, the mutant was, in fact, a hero who fought together with Deadpool.

With Sneider's statement, fans have shown mixed emotions and reactions about Brad Pitt's potential role in "Deadpool 2." While Pitt is more inclined with dramatic scenes, Angelina Jolie's ex-husband is also known for his action-packed portfolio. The star was famous for his performance in "Inglorious Basterds" and "Fight Club," as per Korea Portal.

With all these speculations roaming around, no official statement was released yet confirming about Pitt;s appearance. Therefore, fans have to wait whether he will be in "Deadpool 2" and portray Cable's role. Nevertheless, as Comic Book cited, the "Deadpool" writer stated that updates will come out as soon as possible. After all, they will go into production in the coming months and sooner or later, fans will have a glimpse about the movie's plot as well as its casts.
