"Zombieland 2" is currently in active development. The script for the film's sequel is already ready. The story of the sequel is yet to be known but the original writers of the film have confirmed about the upcoming film.

Movie Web reported that the writers of "Zombieland 2", Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, recently confirmed about the film is in the development stage and they are working in completing the totality of the sequel.

The writers also noted that the cast already read the script for "Zombieland 2" and so far they all liked it. The sequel also is hinted to bring the original cast back on. This sequel to the film is already good to go and it is just a matter of getting everything all together.

According to Den of Geek, Ruben Fleischer, the director of the original film has also signed on for "Zombieland 2." What the writers are busy at this time is just making the deal for the cast members and getting the budget for the whole film to start production.

The casts from the original film were Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin. The final decision for "Zombieland 2" to be materialized will come from Sony picture's boss, Tom Rothman.

Meanwhile, Screen Rant reported that there has got to be enough budget for the stars to be in "Zombieland 2." Most of the original stars of the film have been considered A-listers in the entertainment industry.

Eisenberg and Stone were new when the original film came out. This time when "Zombieland 2" will come out, these stars are already known in the entertainment industry. There are still many things that production will consider before the sequel will be released.
