Remy Ma has just recently announced her team up with famous recording artist, Mariah Carey, for a new collaboration project. Because of this, some fans couldn't help but wonder if the "All The Way Up" rapper and "Touch My Body" singer are teaming up against Nicki Minaj.

Remy Ma officially announced on her Instagram account the new project she has with Carey. The upcoming release is not exactly a diss track that fans have been expecting. Instead, it is a remix of the latter's recently released single "I Don't" featuring YG.

The remix version of the song featuring Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, is not necessarily a diss song for Minaj. In fact, it is a song about the end of a relationship. But Just Jared has noticed that Smith has dropped a verse on the remix, seemingly hitting the "Starships" singer. "But instead of lookin' at how far we've come / I'm regrettin' it, damn, are you done?" the rap goes.

Some fans may find this recent announcement as nothing but a collaboration project. Others, especially those who have been following the Remy Ma and Minaj beef, would probably see this as rather surprising. Hollywood Life notes that Minaj and Carey are not exactly the best of friends. Their feud began way back during their judge roles on "American Idol" in 2012.

The 36-year-old recording artist has yet to release any official statement if this new collaboration is a direct throw of shade to Minaj. But given the situation, it seems more likely that this project is a subtle statement about Carey's stance with the Remy Ma and Minaj beef.

The "Anaconda" singer, however, hasn't released any response yet with Remy's recent announcement. And so far, the only diss tracks that the two artists have released are "No Frauds" (Minaj) and "Shether" (Remy Ma). More news about the matter should emerge in the coming weeks.
