Game publisher Activision has just released the remastered edition of its Variety Map Pack for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered." Those who are playing the title on the PlayStation 4 can now purchase the map pack. Fans on the Windows PC and Xbox One platforms, unfortunately, will have to wait a bit more before they could buy the expansion.

The "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" Variety Map Pack will contain four new playable maps, GameSpot reported. These maps are actually the same ones that the publisher released in 2008 but only remastered: Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse.

For those who'd like to get the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" map pack on the PS4, the DLC can be bought for $15. It was originally released - for the non-remastered version of the game - back in 2008 for only $10. Fans who will buy the expansion will receive 10 Rare supply drops that contain cosmetic items from the game. These items, as what the reports said, can also be received normally either through gameplay or by purchasing them in the shop using real money.

Some players are not exactly thrilled with how Activision priced the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" DLC. Forbes contributor, Erik Kain, even went on to say that the Variety Map Pack should have been released as a free content for the fans.

For one, though, fans have already shelled out $80 to get "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" by buying "Infinite Warfare." What's more, the expansion pack costs even more compared to the original. Some fans are probably upset with how things turned out.

Activision has yet to release any official and specific updates regarding the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" expansion on the PC and Xbox One. More news about the matter should come out in the coming days or weeks.
