The writers of "Deadpool 2" are eyeing Hugh Jackman to join in Ryan Reynolds in the movie sequel in a cameo role. However, as much as they want Wolverine to appear, it is quite impossible as the 48-year-old actor already bid his final goodbye to his iconic role in "Logan." Hence, they have a different idea how they could bring the "Les Misérables" star in the film.

As Jackman already made an appearance in the original film, the movie's writers are eager to give him another cameo role. If the character of Wolverine wouldn't work, then the Hollywood Reporter writer suggested the "Real Steel" actor could just play himself in "Deadpool 2."

"I like that. Deadpool lives in a world where Hugh Jackman is out there," the "Deadpool 2" writer Rhett Reese told the publication. "He's got the People's Sexiest Man Alive cover that he staples to his forehead in the first movie, so maybe he could meet Hugh as Hugh." Evidently, they loved the idea as it will surely bring in a lot of fun.

Moreover, there is no official release date given to "Deadpool 2" yet, but Digital Spy reported it could be in 2018. In fact, the movie's writers are now close to do the draft and start filming in a couple of months. However, Reese explained that they are not rushing to put the film in production.

Rushing to do "Deadpool 2" might make them film everything quickly that may end up not doing the things they want in the film just to catch its given release date. They might start to race with the time and force to do scenes for the sake of finishing the movie.

The writers also added that the great thing they did in the first film was spending their career "trying to duck other movies." If they announce "Deadpool 2" release date this early, it might ruin the plan they have for it.
