George RR Martin is currently working on his book "Winds of Winter." The release date of the book has not been specified as there have been some delays to it.

According to Hall of Fame Magazine, Martin has been caught up with other projects lately that he has not finished "Winds of Winter" yet. The author shared that there have been some challenges that made him finish the book later.

Martin also noted that the "Winds of Winter" will come by soon. There are just certain things that have kept him busy that have further the delay. Fans have been waiting for quite some time for the book to come out.

Enstarz already reported that the popularity of "Game of Thrones" may be the cause for the delay of "Winds of Winter." The popular TV series from HBO has been adapted from the author's book "Song of fire and Ice."

It also is indicated in the same report that the editor for George RR Martin's "Winds of Winter" wanted to add to more battles in the story. This revision may have taken the author a while to add in the story. There may be a lot of factors that has kept the author from finishing the latest book but it is assured that the novel will be launched soon.

Meanwhile, Bleeding Cool reported that Martin has opened a non-profit movie production studio based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Stagecoach Foundation is reported to be available for all filmmakers. This may be Hollywood filmmakers or those that are just new in the industry. This has been one of the things that have kept the author busy aside from "Winds of Winter."
