Jon Gosselin is relaunching his career and this time he will be a male stripper in New Jersey. The father of eight was known for his appearance in the "Jon and Kate Plus 8" reality show but his divorce to wife Kate ended the series in 2009.

The former TV personality is making his debut as a stripper and his first performance is taking place on April 1 at Caesar's in Atlantic City. It was learned that Gosselin lost 25 pounds for this new job as well as for his health.

"I have hereditary high blood pressure. So I started dieting," he told Page Six. "My girlfriend is a nurse practitioner. I just try to be healthy."

The show entitled "Untamed Male Revue" will star Gosselin in three acts and tickets for his performance at Dusk will start at $40. For VIP package, tickets can cost as high as $1,000 and this includes bottle service and 20 show tickets.

Gosselin ended his marriage with Kate in 2009. The couple broke up at the height of their popularity and Jon sent a cease and desist note to TLC so the network will stop airing "Jon and Kate Plus 8." The letter effectively halted the show but it returned in 2014, with  a new title called "Kate Plus 8."

While his family continues to be on TV and star on their own program, the patriarch of the Gosselin family was rarely seen on air. He kept a low profile and stayed out of show business for a while.

To earn a living, he had regular jobs such as a restaurant waiter in Pennsylvania and a short assignment as a chef at T.G.I. Fridays. In 2015, Gosselin was hired as a DJ in Atlantic City and this was his last job prior to his new career.

On how he landed as a club stripper, Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight, "I work at Dusk Nightclub in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I DJ but I find promotion is more rewarding both financially and emotionally." Lastly, the former reality star said that his new found job is a blessing to him because he felt he belong.
