New exciting events and twists are going to be witnessed next week as CBS's police procedural drama, "Criminal Minds" continues to air the episodes for its twelfth season. As the series gets closer and closer to its season finale, more interesting events are coming and the future of all characters from the show are gradually being revealed.

It has been widely rumored a few weeks ago that an original cast member and character of "Criminal Minds" will be coming back to reprise his role on the season 12 finale. This time, actor Shemar Moore, who played Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan for eleven seasons on the series, confirmed that he will play a part in the finale, which is already fast approaching.

On an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Moore expressed his excitement over his appearance on "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale. It has been nearly a year since he left the crime drama series and now that he's back, he is reportedly thrilled to work again with his former crew and fellow cast members that he had been with for eleven years. Moore even mentioned that he missed portraying Derek Morgan and that he feels blessed that he will get a chance to do it again.

Moore explained that the decision he made which was to leave "Criminal Minds" last year was one of the hardest that he ever has to make. However, even though it is truly exciting that an original character is coming back, fans and viewers are still worried about the series still not being able to have an official renewal.

A few days ago, some television series have been announced to have picked up for an additional season, but some have failed to do so, including "Criminal Minds." CarterMatt reported that nothing is guaranteed as of this point, but fans, viewers and some media personalities are still reportedly positive that the crime drama series will be announced for a renewal soon.
