Candace Cameron Bure stumbled into an Instagram war after posting a photo of herself in a t-shirt inspired by a RuPaul's Drag Race contestant.

Cameron Bure put up a selfie on Instagram this week in which she wore a "Not Today Satan" shirt. This phrase was popularized by RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Bianca Del Rio in season 6, who now has a touring comedy show by the same name.

Del Rio, whose real name is Roy Haylock, regranted Cameron Bure's photo with the caption, "IF ONLY, THIS HOMOPHOBIC, REPUBLICAN KNEW.........,"

This prompted Del Rio's many fans to swarm Cameron Bure's Instagram page and point out her hypocrisy in being a Christian Republican, many of which are against marriage equality and other LGBT issues, while also wearing a shirt associated with this community.

Cameron Bure then replied to Del Rio's post, writing, "I'm not homophobic and [it's] always sad when people think otherwise. Loving Jesus doesn't mean I hate gay people or anyone. You sent a bunch of hateful people to my page writing horrible things. I hope next time you'll spread love and kindness, even when you disagree with people."

The message ended with Cameron Bure "sending her love" and wishing Del Rio "all the best." Del Rio took a screenshot of this comment and added a caption:

Cameron Bure has run into conflict regarding LGBT issues in the past, famously sparring with Raven-Symoné on The View in 2015 during a discussion about a bakery refusing to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.

"I don't think this is discrimination at all," Cameron Bure argued. "This is about freedom of association, it's about constitutional rights, it's about First Amendment rights."

Raven was clearly upset by her co-host's comments, saying, "I refuse to associate myself with you right now."

Cameron Bure comes from a religious family, most notably her brother, Kirk Cameron.
