Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy were seen putting on smiles when the soon-to-be divorced couple came face-to-face at their daughter Bryn's school in New York City Wednesday.

Frankel, 42, looked casual in a hat and sunglasses along with a navy-blue kimono-sleeve top, a printed scarf, blue jeans and black sneaker wedges.

Hoppy, 41, was unshaven and wore a black baseball cap, blue henley top, and grey-striped trousers.

Their 3-year-old daughter Bryn wore an oatmeal-coloured angora ruffle dress, polka-dot Mary Janes, and a brown bow in her blonde hair.

Frankel and Hoppy filed for divorce in December 2012 but are still both living in their Tribeca apartment.

"My living situation is very, very stressful," the former Real Housewives of New York City star said in an interview with People magazine in May.

"I don't think it's very healthy for anyone involved. It's very upsetting. You just have to endure it," she said.

The couple is currently in divorce proceedings and because it has not yet been decided who will keep the home, they both have a right to live in the apartment and they both do at the present time.

The Skinny Girl mogul is reportedly "baffled" as to why her ex is still wearing his wedding band in public.

"It's an interesting choice, and I don't understand it," Frankel said.

Frankel and Hoppy both asked for primary custody of their daughter and ownership of the home.

Frankel said the two are avoiding one another while they try to focus their attention and energy on Bryn.

The daytime talk show host is currently prepping her Fox show, bethenny, for its official premiere on September 9.

Warner Bros and Ellen DeGeneres' company approved Frankel's show for the fall season after it had a successful six-week summer test run in 2012.
