Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole welcomed their first baby into the world last Mar. 22. Fans of the celebrity couple rejoiced with them, but the "what's next?" question has been clearly inevitable. Fans have started to wonder if Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole wedding will be next.

The thought of Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole wedding has been fiddling with the fans' imaginations and it is quite logical since they are already a family of three. However, there are also negative comments being linked to the issue, the majority of which point out the big age difference of the former "One Direction" star and "Girls Aloud" member.

Despite the age-gap controversy, friends of Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole are reportedly very supportive of the possibility of the two new parents getting married. According to Metro, Sarah Harding, Cheryl's best friend, has been defending the couple against the age-gap issues hounding them.

The 35-year old singer is reportedly very happy for her fellow "Girls Aloud" band mate and shared that having a child is one of Cheryl's dream come true. "I'm really happy for her. Cheryl has been broody for years. I think she's wanted a baby since Kimberley [Walsh] first fell pregnant," Harding said. However, Harding did not talk about the possibility of Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole wedding.

When asked about her thoughts on some people's negative reaction about the 10-year difference between Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole, Harding downplayed it and simply said that she finds nothing wrong with the age gap. "I know some people were surprised by the age difference but I don't see what the fuss is about."

Meanwhile, there have been reports circulating that Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole wedding happened secretly. However, Cheryl's good friend, Black Eyed Peas member, Will.i.am, indirectly answered the marriage speculation during an interview when he innocently asked if the new parents were already married. According to The Sun, the Black Eyed Peas member admitted that he hasn't talked to Cheryl since she gave birth, but sincerely congratulated the proud new parents.
