Miguel denied Wednesday that producers advised him against his now infamous leg drop, which injured a fan at the Billboard Music Awards in May.

TMZ reported on Tuesday that producers warned the Adorn singer from attempting his stunt at the May 19 ceremony. Miguel allegedly approached officials during rehearsals and asked if he could perform a stage dive, but was his request was reportedly denied because they felt it was too dangerous. A production source told the website that the R&B crooner defied the edict.

A representative for the #Beautiful singer denied the rumors the following day.

"The reports claiming that Miguel was warned by producers not to jump are completely false," the rep told Us Weekly.

The rep continued and said that Miguel had been in contact with Khyati Shah. The rep also added that the well being of Shah was of great importance to Miguel.

"A number of attempts were made to reach Khyati and her lawyer after the performance to see how she was doing and whether any assistance could be offered," the rep said.

On Tuesday, a lawyer for Shah said that she was possibly suffering from brain damage as a result of Miguel's leg drop. Shah's head hit the stage after Miguel flew into the crowd during his Billboard performance.

"Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury," Bhola said.

The attorney further said that his client should have immediately been taken to the hospital after Miguel's leg drop. He said that Miguel's actions afterward, including offering Shah an ice pack for her neck, were not enough. Bhola added that Shah was waiting on the results of a neurologist to determine if a lawsuit will be filed against the singer.
