Baby Aaradhya always comes first to Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan -- so much that she ditched meeting a legendary Hollywood actor.

She and her actor husband, Abhishek Bachchan, were in London to attend June 1's Chime For Change charity event, and were also due to meet with actor Al Pacino at another event on Sunday - An Evening With Al Pacino at the London Palladium.

So why was Rai Bachcchan a no-show on Sunday?

The couple has been traveling around the world with their newborn baby daughter Aaradhya and on occasion her mother Vrinda, who helps cares for the child. However, on the night of the Al Pacino event, the actress' mom was due back in India. With childcare unavailable, Aishwarya could not attend the event.

"Her mother was leaving for India on the same day," a source told The Hindustan Times. "And since there was no one else to look after Aaradhya, Aishwarya decided to back out of the meeting."

After spending the previous evening out, Aishwarya relished the opportunity to have a little family time.

"Over the past few weeks, Aishwarya has been constantly travelling across the globe. So, she wanted to spend as much time as possible with her mom. But the biggest reason was that she didn't want to leave Aaradhya," the source said.

She recently attended the Cannes Film Festival, where Aaradhya was seen on the red carpet with her actress mom. Aishwarya's father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, also attended the festival as part of the cast of The Great Gatsby. Abhishek was not able to attend, as he continued work on the upcoming film Dhoom 3.
