One Direction may have split up, but that hasn't stopped Harry Styles from continuing to dominate the music scene.

Performing on the Today Show earlier today, Styles showed off his rocker style and played a couple of his new songs from his upcoming album. Living up to his star potential Styles took the stage to debut his new song Carolina and play Sign of the Times and Ever Since New York to a massively packed crowd in New York City. Apparently the screaming fans can still be heard echoing across the country.

Styles is currently out and about promoting his new much anticipated self-titled album, Harry Styles, which will be releasing on May 12th. This is his first album released as a solo artist.

Styles rose to fame as a member of the group One Direction when they competed on The X Factor UK. Though the group did not end up winning their season, their fan following and talent won them a recording deal. Since then, they released multiple hit songs, such as Perfect, Kiss You, and What Makes You Beautiful. While the group ended up splitting in 2016, each member has continued to pursue music.

As great news that it is to see Styles doing well for himself, his commitment to his solo career means there might not be a One Direction reunion anytime soon. Before being added to One Direction on The X Factor, Styles had originally auditioned as a solo artist. The fact that he is involved in pursuing this original goal shows that he is ready to move on from the old, and try and position himself as best he can to achieve further success in the industry. Currently, he seems to be doing just great for himself.
