L.A. Reid has parted ways with 'Epic Records' after sexual harassment allegations against him have surfaced. Reid was the head of the record company, which was managed by Sony Music.

The New York Post is reporting that Reid made inappropriate comments to an unnamed female staffer. In addition to asking inappropriate requests of her while on business trips, Reid allegedly would also make inappropriate remarks about her attire. The staffer threatened legal action if Reid was not disciplined for his actions against her. After an investigation, the decision to let go of Reid was reached.

In a simple statement released two days after his exit, Sony Music announced on Saturday that "L.A. Reid will be leaving the company." No further explanation or remarks were given, and Sony Music did not release any further comments. Rumors are circulating that Reid will be taking up a job at Warner Music Group's Warner Brothers record label.

In addition to serving as a judge on The X Factor, Reid is well known for his signed artists success. Reid started out as a drummer and rose to become a dominating figure in the music industry with his track record of success. Under his label, Reid propelled to fame Fifth Harmony, Meghan Trainor, Future, and DJ Khaled. Khaled currently holds the number one song in the US, I'm The One. In the past, Reid has won three Grammys for his work. Sony has yet to announce Reid's replacement.
