While walking downstairs in her home this past Thursday, Rent and Sin City star, Rosario Dawson, found her cousin, Vanez Ines Vasquez unresponsive. After Dawson called for help, she was later pronounced dead when paramedics could not resuscitate her and she was brought to a local hospital. Vasquez was 26-years-old.

TMZ has been sharing details about the death. In addition to being a family member, Vasquez was also working for Dawson around the time when her body was discovered in the house in Venice. Vasquez was reported to have been having some migraines in addition to suffering from a hypertension condition.

Thus far, foul play has been ruled out. Vasquez was said to have not had any substance abuse issues in the past, and early autopsy test results have been pointing to her death being of natural causes. Further tests results that might shed more light on her cause of death will be released.

Dawson was known for having a very close relationship with her family members. While she never met her biological father, Dawson would often speak about how close she was with her mother and extended family. 

No statement has been released yet from Dawson, or the family. An investigation is currently underway. Our thoughts are with Rosario and the rest of her family.
