ABC's Castle continues to garner chatter over its upcoming sixth season, which will surely bring with it implications on Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett's (Stana Katic) relationship, as they're reportedly set to experience some rough patches moving forward.

Creator Andrew Marlowe recently elaborated to TVLine on the rationale behind the future of their relationship.

"There are a couple of really, really big, juicy and interesting moments.  We feel like next season is the proper time to tap them, if we're going to be honest and true to this relationship and the complications that often come into play," he said.

Tamala Jones, who plays the part of Lanie on the program, stated that her character along with the rest of the detectives, won't be following Kate if she takes the offer in Washington, D.C. that's been put on the table for her.

"The precinct doesn't go [with her]. I think [Kate] would still help from D.C., or wherever she was.  What's Lanie going to do without Beckett in the same [city]? I don't think Lanie would like that!"

Castle is slated to make its return in the fall.  Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular ABC series.
