Russell Brand may be a funny guy, but paparazzo Timothy Jackson isn't laughing. The photographer filed a police report in New Orleans last night, claiming Brand snatched the iPhone out of his hand and sent it crashing into a nearby building.

Jackson cited "criminal damages" in the report, according to TMZ.

Jackson told cops he was in his car, shooting Brand with his cell phone, when the actor "flipped out," wrestled the phone away from him and flung it into the building, shattering a glass window.

Police were still investigating, but no charges have been filed.  

Brand is in the Big Easy filming an as yet untitled movie with co-stars Julianne Hough and Octavia Spencer.
