Have the pressures of the modeling industry gotten the best of Gigi Hadid?
In recent years, Hadid appears to have gotten thinner and thinner. According to a new report, she's barely eating as she thrives on staying at the top of her game while surrounded by super skinny models around the globe.
On Tuesday, a source told OK! Magazine that Hadid "barely nibbles on veggies."
"Constantly being around rail-thin girls finally got to her," the insider added.
"She started feeling like she was too fat for the high-fashion world," the source added. "But she's clearly taking the dieting a bit far. It's getting scary."
The recent report regarding Hadid's weight came just months after a source told Heat that the model and her younger sister, Bella Hadid, were in a fierce competition with one another.
"Bella is determined to outshine her big sister," a source told the magazine, via a report by OK! Magazine at the end of last year. "She has always felt like she's the underdog, living in Gigi's shadow, and views her Victoria's Secret debut as her chance to steal the show."
At the time, a source told the outlet that Bella was down to just 99 pounds as she prepared to walk the catwalk in Paris.
"She's been preparing for the show most of the year, and even admitted that breaking up with her boyfriend [singer The Weeknd in November] was perfect timing because she dropped 5lbs almost immediately from stress and sadness," the insider alleged.
While Hadid admitted to losing weight, she claimed several months ago that her thinner frame wasn't the result of undereating. Instead, she said she was suffering from a thyroid disease.
