Actress Kat Graham has broken her silence after Jada Pinkett-Smith set the record straight on the validity of Pinkett Smith's portrayal in the biopic for rapper Tupac, All Eyez On Me.

Graham, who played Pinkett Smith in the film, has responded to Pinkett Smith's comments about what really happened between her and the late rapper.

"When I first got the role, I reached out to [Pinkett Smith] a year and a half ago... the point of reaching out to her, as well as the other producers of the film, was to insure the integrity of the story and the character. I even spoke to her last week and she had nothing but support."

The producer of the film, L.T. Hutton, also released a statement on Pinkett's comments.

Graham's and Hutton's statements came after Pinkett Smith revealed on Twitter that there were a few inconsistencies about how her friendship with Tupac was portrayed in the film.

She wrote a post on Facebook the day the film came out.

"Forgive me... my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyes On Me to stand as truth. Pac never read me that poem. I didn't know that poem existed until it was printed in his book. Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn't to pursue his career. I've never been to any of Pac's shows by his request. We never had an argument backstage. The reimagine of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful."

She went on to commend Graham as well as actor Demetrius Shipp, Jr. who portrayed Tupac.

"To Kat and Demetrius this is no fault of yours. Thank [you] for bringing so much heart and spirit to your roles. You both did a beautiful job with what you were given. Thank you both. Happy birthday Pac, you are cradled in my heart for eternity. I love you."
