Mariah Carey is at the center of media attention due to her recent trip to Israel to promote her partnership with a line of skincare products.

On Monday, Carey visited Israel to announce her partnership with Premier Dead Sea Cosmetics at a press conference. It wasn't long enough until the press directed everyone's attention to the singer's ex-fiancé, James Packer, asking her what his status is on the investigation.

The pop star was asked several questions about her ex-fiancé's involvement with the corruption investigation involving Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"I don't know where the motherf***er is," Carey said. "How am I supposed to know? I don't know, for real. I really have no idea about the political stuff that goes on, I don't pay attention to it."

According to a report, Packer allegedly gifted Netanyahu's son luxurious holidays around the world and used his private jet. This implied that he was linked to the prime minister and his wife.

Due to Carey's former relationship with Packer, she is assumed to be associated with his actions toward the investigation and alliance with the prime minister.

"Oh, now they want to blame me? Someone wants to blame me for something now? What did I do? I didn't do anything," Carey said.

Despite all political finger pointing, the initial purpose of Carey's trip was to solely promote the brand's products.

The pop icon was chosen to be the face of Premier Dead Sea and to utilize this trip to get to know the brand better.

"There are so many things I expect to do during my visit to Israel, such as experiencing the Dead Sea for the first time in my life," she said.

There have been no updates on Packer's involvement or if Carey has anything to do with it.
