On Tuesday, June 27, Leez Department Store kicked off its Grand Opening in the Downtown, Manhattan area. The three-story store features numerous designer brands in a diverse range of styles ranging from contemporary women's wear, swimwear, men's wear and luxury evening wear, to cosmetics.

On Tuesday, June 27, Leez Department Store kicked off its Grand Opening in the Downtown, Manhattan area. The three-story store features numerous designer brands in a diverse range of styles ranging from contemporary women's wear, swimwear, men's wear and luxury evening wear, to cosmetics.

Popular NYC designers such as Layana Aguilar, Manuel De La Cruz, Adeidaine, Kenchen, The Essence, Knotted, Alexandra Nam, Anthony Manfredonia and Laposhe Swimwear are showcased and available for customers to purchase. Celebrities such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Jessie J, Lady Gaga and Dascha Polanco have been seen wearing the brands Anthony Manfredonia and Layana Aguilar.

Customers are able to meet the NYC designers in person at the store during the Grand Opening until July 4th.

Anthony Manfredonia described his brand to be sexy, aggressive and refined for anyone.

"My brand is predominantly women's, but I'm slowly progressing to menswear. I believe my choice of fabrication, techniques and luxury ready to wear makes my brand stand out, too. I take some of the couture techniques and I bring them down to the price range of ready to wear, so I usually add a twist to my clothing," he said. "I take a lot of classics and I twist them a certain way or I add elements that make them unique again."

Aside from couture, Leez offers casual and outerwear, as well. Kenchen is a brand that primarily focuses on unisex coats and jackets. It is a brand defined by tailoring, simple elegance, and carefully curated fabrics.
Ken Chen, designer, mentioned how his brand focuses on comfort and accessibility.

"I would want my customers to feel comfortable in the clothing I make. They will feel better about themselves by looking and feeling great. The clothing is comfortable and luxurious, you know where your money is being spent and people will see that," Chen said.

"When you think of a department store, you think of discounts off common brands, but we aim to bring a fresh style that nobody else has so the customers can shop for something unique, something one of a kind," said Yanyan Liang, Leez Marketing Director.

Fashion bloggers were also present at the Grand Opening. Tiffany Battle, fashion blogger of The Werk Place, discussed her kind of style and how Leez would cater to it.

"I'm very familiar with all the brands that are here, it's mainly a bunch of emerging designers and I'm excited to support some of the brands I'm familiar with here," she continued, "I'm a texture fiend, I'm a print fiend, the opposite of minimalist which is why I'm so excited to check out what the designers here have especially since I love emerging designers and fast fashion."

Leez also introduced new arrival k-beauty and k-fashion section. It carries ClubClio skin care and make up products; popular women’s fashion brand Siero and jewelry brand MZUU often worn by Asian celebrities.

Leez Department store is located at 37 Trinity Place, New York, NY. Grand Opening in-store offers will continue until July 4th.
