On Monday, NBC's The Voice semifinals offered a first: a solo performance by Season 4 newcomer coach Usher for the first time since his stint began.

Usher opened the Top 5 show with the debut of his new single, Twisted, with a James Brown-inspired dance with multiple floor splits for the retro style song.

The Top 5 then performed two songs each during the live broadcast: one they chose themselves that was dedicated to someone important and the other their coaches selected for them.

Team Usher's Michelle Chamuel sang Zedd's Clairty and closed her stint with, Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time. The show featured footage of her brief hometown visit where she was given an opportunity to sing the national anthem at Feinway Park during her time there.

Team Blake's Swon Brothers were inspired by their trip back home in Muskogee, Oklahoma where they received the Rising Star Award at their city's Hall of Fame. The siblings sang Turn The Page, per Blake Shelton and chose Danny's Song as their emotional song pick.

Shelton's other contestant Danielle Bradberry went home to Cypress, Texas, and a brief video showed she sung for the Houston Astros game during her trip. Her coach, Shelton, had her sing Tim McGraw's Please Remember Me and she personally chose Jessica Andrews' Who I Am, a dedication to her best friend and parents.

Team Shakira's Sasha Allen made a brave choice for a dedication song. She performed Whitney Houston's classic, I Will Always Love You, a selection chosen for her children. Afterward, she sang her coach's choice, Donna Summer's Bad Girls. A video shown prior to her performances showed her visit to New York City where she spent time with her daughter.

Team Adam's Amber Carrington took on one of her coach's hit songs: Maroon 5's Sad, per Adam Levine's request. Her dedication song was Katy Perry's Firework. Earlier footage showed that during her hometown visit in Rockwell, Texas she was given the key to her city by the town's mayor.

The Top 5 contestants will learn on Tuesday's results show who will make it to next week's Top 3 finale show -- which airs on June 18.

NBC's The Voice Results show will air on Tuesday, June 11 at 8/7 p.m. Central on NBC.
